Thus, for the extreme HP scale (like held trash in Epics) or bosses with Fort (basically almost all of them) the Greataxe is the way to go. The longer you are standing there hitting something the more even minute DPS discrepencies appear.because over time the damages do stack. ![]() Meaning if something has 300 hit points and you do 175 damage per swing (on average) w/ a greataxe and 180 damager per swing (on average) w/ a falchion then regardless you will be killing this thing in 2 strokes (just because it's more in the negatives doesn't make it more dead).īUT, the situation changes as the mobs get more and more hit points. It kills faster during actual play and the reason why is simple: In non-epics the 3~4% extra DPS from Falchion is almost meaningless (especially with a high DPS output char), because the "window" between the killing blow and the # number of swings to hit it is almost identical between the two weapons. If you are making only 1 Lit2/min2 (trash/boss beater) weapon and ONLY 1 and you are planning on doing Epics then make a Greataxe. ![]() ![]() I recently completed all three greensteel sets (in Lit2), and without getting too long. Ok, I know we've got many threads about this topic but to finalize it.
